The District is proud to unveil its new portable bicycle and pedestrian safety unit. New bicycles, helmets, street signs, and adaptive bicycle equipment, designed to assist students with disabilities, will fill a traveling trailer for elementary school P.E. courses on bicycle and pedestrian safety. The trailer is returning to service for the first time since the pandemic.
This updated trailer and equipment were supported in part through a grant from AAA and generous donations from Safe Kids Palm Beach County. Community and School District volunteers assisted with assembling the bicycles, and have pledged to assist with ongoing upkeep. Third through fifth grade students will learn important bicycle and pedestrian safety lessons during their normal P.E. classes.
